The Bell Inn is situated in the Warwickshire countryside in the village of ladbroke, on the Banbury road, just 2 miles south of southham. The village's existence is first documented in the Domesday Book, a survey of England which was completed in 1086
The historic town of Warwick is only 10miles from ladbroke is situated near the M40 and the A46. With good rail links, via direct Chiltern Railway services to London (Marylebone Station),Birmingham, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-avon. There is a station in the centre of Warwick, but since 2000 a new out of town station opened called Warwick Parkway.
After a visit to the Bell Inn why not visit the medieval castle of Warwick, which sits on the River Avon. William the Conqueror requested the building of this castle in 1068, to fortify the area against the Anglo Saxons. It continued to be used for the purpose of defence until the 17th century, when it was converted to a country house by Sir Fulke Greville (Earl of Warwick).
The Tussaud's group in 1978 opened the castle to the public and has been a popular attraction for visitors to the area ever since.
The town of Warwick is situated in what is known as shakespeare country. The main sites of this area are Warwick of course, Stunning Kennilworth, Regent Leamington, Stratford-upon-avon (home of William Shakespeare), the rolling countryside that makes up Warwickshire and the Cotswolds.
